Overview

All components of all ten Topic Pods together cover the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Biology (4BI1) Biology and the Double award (4BI1 / 4SD0). Those studying other exam boards may also benefit from the hub.

  • You can join the hub at any time to access all previously added content. This could be useful for revision, enrichment of other learning or to catch up and continue with the ongoing live tuition (Live session tuition will assume that participants have watched previous content).
  • Those studying other exam boards may also benefit from the hub to supplement and enrich their other learning.

Live tuition

  • 63 (min.) Live sessions of 1.5 hours (weekly with holiday breaks shown below)
  • Tuesdays 11.30 to 1pm
  • Approx. 5 additional live sessions (with recordings) (see schedule below) for topics relating purely to Biology only (Papers 1 and 2) content
  • Additional sessions may be held on an ad-hoc basis to allow responses to student needs or areas or additional input as required.
  • Recordings of each live lesson are available in the hub for viewing afterwards (children not shown)

Revision and Consolidation

Ongoing until May / June 2028

Dates

12th October 2027 onwards (Tuesdays 11.30-1pm subject to demand)

(no live sessions: half term 26th October, Christmas break 21st, 28th December 2027, half term 22nd February, Easter 4th, 11th April 2028)

  • Weekly taught content will be responsive to the concerns, needs and requirements of students raised in the community and designed to give lots of practice with exam technique.
  • The video libraries will be complete at this stage and can be used as an ongoing searchable resource for revision.
  • Additional videos may be added as required to support students subject to need.
